How We Do Business

All deciduous fruit trees are supplied ‘bare rooted’ as a grafted two year old tree. At this age they are a nice fresh tree, at the optimum stage for transplanting into gardens and orchards. They are mailed out to you between mid June and August, as this is when they have lost their leaves and gone ‘dormant’, and are therefore able to be moved and transplanted without any stress.

We grow a limited number of fruit trees each year, so we tend to sell out of many varieties well before the end of winter. It is up to you to put in your orders as early as you can, to ensure you get the varieties you want – we process the orders on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

Placing An Order

Our online shop makes the buying process really simple, quick and secure. Simply browse through the shop and when you locate the tree you are after, add it to the cart, then keep browsing for more. When you are ready, place the order, by going through the checkout process. There is a place for special order instructions in the checkout process if needed. You can then opt to pay using the direct deposit method into our bank account or by credit card. You will receive an email confirmation of the order you have placed (If you don’t hear from us please check your junk mail folder and then let us know). Credit Card

We now take payment via Credit Card. Our checkout page is a secured page and the Credit Card payment option offers a quick and easy way to purchase your trees. After your have placed your order you should receive a confirmation email with an order summary. You may have to check your junk mail folder if you can’t find this confirmation and then if it still does not arrive please contact us.

Mail Order

mailing
Our sales are sent out by mail. This is a very safe, very cost effective, and successful way to have your trees delivered. The trees are dormant in the winter time, so they can be moved around without damaging them, as long as the roots are not allowed to dry out.

We wrap the roots in moist straw or sawdust, surrounded by plastic, tie the trees with string for support, and then wrap the whole bundle in heavy duty plastic, for protection and to ensure moisture content is maintained over the trip. We have no problems with trees drying out, and customers report tree bundles arriving in excellent condition through Australia Post.

To have trees mailed to you, simply select the correct shipping rate at checkout – these prices cover for the cost of postage and handling.

Sorry – no orders to SA, WA or Tassie

Unfortunately, due to the increasing quarantine difficulties and costs, we are no longer sending trees to WA, SA or Tasmania.
