King David apple
King David cider apple is a handsome southern American apple, originating in Arkansas, the flushed orange skin, reminscent of Jonathan, one of its probable parents, becomes much darker as the season progresses, till it becomes a brilliant dark red colour, the apples hang on the tree almost to winter, deep into autumn, and are at their best for eating at this point, also a useful cider variety with some good kick to it.
