ORDER FORM Click here to download the simple order form HOW WE DO BUSINESS All deciduous fruit trees are supplied ‘bare rooted’ as a grafted two year old tree. At this age they are a nice fresh tree, at the optimum stage for transplanting into gardens and orchards. They are mailed out to you between mid June and August, as this is when they have lost their leaves and gone ‘dormant’, and are therefore able to be moved and transplanted without any stress. We grow a limited number of fruit trees each year, so we tend to sell out of many varieties well before the end of winter. It is up to you to put in your orders as early as you can, to ensure you get the varieties you want – we process the orders on a ‘first come first served’ basis. If you want to, on the order form there is a space to request substitute varieties (second choices) in case we have sold out of the trees you have ordered. PLACING AN ORDER
The bank account details for transferring money are: Account Name: Yalca Fruit Trees IMPORTANT Sorry, we have no credit card facility available. Our address for posting your order is: Yalca Fruit Trees, Or, our email address for sending your order is: TOWN / MARKET DELIVERY If you want to collect your trees from one of these places, fill in the $10 delivery fee on the order form, and designate which place you want to meet us at. *We don’t send citrus, avocados or macadamias by mail, so only order these if you are planning to pick them up from the farm or are meeting us for delivery to a town / market.MAIL ORDER We wrap the roots in moist straw or sawdust, surrounded by plastic, tie the trees with string for support, and then wrap the whole bundle in heavy duty plastic, for protection and to ensure moisture content is maintained over the trip. We have no problems with trees drying out, and customers report tree bundles arriving in excellent condition through Australia Post. To have trees mailed to you, calculate and include postage rates as indicated in the table on the bottom of the order form – prices quoted in the table are for the total cost of postage i.e. per bundle of trees, not per single tree. Click here to download the simple order form For the first time, due to a relaxing of quarantine restrictions, we are sending trees to Western Australia this winter. There are still a number of processes we need to go through, including getting trees treated for pests and funguses, obtaining Plant Health Certificates, and having trees inspected by DPI Victoria and WA quarantine. To help cover costs with this we are charging only $30 per order. (Until recently, you needed to pay $55per tree to import, because WA quarantine needed to hold the trees and grow them on for six months, before releasing them back to the importer.) TASMANIAN ORDERSOrders to Tasmania include a $20 import fee, to help cover costs of fulfilling quarantine requirements. This is because we have to obtain Plant Health Certificates, have the Victoria DPI check tree consignments before sending, and get Tasmania quarantine to check consignments at the other end.
